Click2Cloud's successful Codefest event, first of kind held in Nagpur

Nagpur: Click2Cloud along with Project Centaurus under Linux Foundation organised a mega cloud technology event called the ‘Codefest2021’ Next-Gen Cloud Platform for Edge, 5G,& AI on August 14, 2021, with an aim to turn Nagpur into a cloud city. The event partners also included tech giants like the Research for Resurgence Foundation, Futurewei Technologies, Huawei Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Grid Gain, reinvent labs, Informatics, and Soda Foundation.

The event had over +1300 registrations and over +500 participants joined the live conference making it a successful event.The event was co-hosted by business head, Click2Cloud, Rupal Shirpurkar, and event organiser Nikhil Aparajit. The virtual event was headlined by founder and CEO of Click2Cloud Inc, Prashant Mishra.Prashant Mishra shared his insights regarding how the new 5G technology can impact our lives.His welcome note was followed by an enlightening session on ‘Shaping the Future of Cloud Native Infrastructure at the Age of AI, 5G, and Edge’ by Technical VP and Head of Cloud Lab at Futurewei Technologies, Dr Ying Xiong.

Principal Cloud Technology Strategists at Futurewei Deepak Vij and Dr Xiaoning Ding enlightened the viewers with a brief presentation on project Centaurus and various models like Arktos and Mizaar.

A panel discussion was also hosted by the strategists and was joined by the current board director (primary & alternate) at CNCF, OCI, LF Edge by Anni Lai who was also the moderator of the panel discussion.

Founder and CEO of Reinvent Labs GmbH, Dr Stefan Nastic introduced the PolarisCloud, which is a managing cloud and edge SLOs with specialised Kubernetes controllers.The Polaris SLO Cloud project (previously called SLOC) aims to provide Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for next-generation cloud computing.

His session was followed by senior consultant for GridGain Stephen Darlington, who covered the topic, ‘Managing Speed and Scale in the cloud, 5G and edge deployments using GridGain’.He also touched slightly on Apache Ignite in his enlightening keynote session.

The next keynote was headlined by Middle East Ecosystem & Industry Development Manager, Cloud & AI at Huawei, Cedric Saber who presented the cloud computing capabilities of Huawei Cloud.

He also shared how Huawei is transforming the world of technology and leading the 5G revolution from the front.

In the end, Prashant Mishra shared his long-term vision of the community and called for companies to come forward and join hands in this venture for the betterment of the tech community in India.
